If a new round of 10% tariff implementation is imposed, these lighting products will be affected

Since 2018, the United States has imposed a 25% tariff on China’s total exports worth $250 billion. In the early morning of August 2, US President Trump announced on his Twitter that he would impose a 10% tariff on the remaining US$300 billion of products exported to the US from September 1.

This round of $300 billion tax collection includes a total of 3,805 HS codes, covering almost all products except the $500 and $200 billion products that have been tariffed for the first two rounds. This has basically covered all Chinese export lighting products.

According to statistics, the total amount of lighting products included in the tariff list in this round of 2018 exports to the United States exceeded US$2 billion in 2018, accounting for 18.2% of China’s exports of lighting products to the US in 2018; the largest amount is HS code 85395000. The total number of LED lamps and lanterns exported to the United States in 2018 reached 1.768 billion US dollars.
